These tree roots are strong! It has lifted up part of the cement walkway.



From far, I thought it was a snake or big reptile under it. LOL..

slow and steady. the spider weaves a huge web!

While hiking at Bukit Timah Hill the other day, a few of us looked up and saw this.

Up up up high up, the sun was shining through this empty space between the tall trees and we could see the huge web! The spider's on it too!



The spider looks scary huh? With its reddish yellowish or is it orangish colour.
Singapore's not a concrete jungle. There's a real jungle out there.

"Steep Slope. Do not run." says the sign. Actually walking down the slope was already difficult enough without falling over.

Ants @ Bukit Timah Hill

It's great to be close to nature and admire the great creation. I saw ants crawling so so so fast on the wooden fence at the Bukit Timah Hill.



Ants are always so busy. Reminds me of many people and also of myself at certain time of the year. Are you addicted to 'rushing'? haha.. I really think some people are really addicted to it!

When I took this photo last weekend, we all took the 'green route' up, and the 'red route' down. It was a good walk.

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

The visitors centre at the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. It's a place where everyone 'meets' before they go for a hike.



Bukit Timah is the highest hill in Singapore. It stands at 164 metres. :-) Which means many tall buildings in Singapore are actually higher than this hill.

Blue Bird with Mud

This little one must be the naughty one. It went away to play with mud. Now it has got mud all over.

Oh Sweet Nectar from the Bloom

Sweet sweet nectar from plants. This bee sure is busy.



Arrgh. Have you been stung by a bee before? I remember when I was young, I had, and mum put vinegar on it to soothe the excruciating pain.

Imagine one million legs on you.

Hmm if one million legs stepping on you, would that be a nice massage?



I used to be so so so scared of milipedes when I was a small boy. Were you all like that when you were young?

Biten by an ant? Oh, what a holey leaf!

We shall enjoy nature for the next few days. Here's a big ant on a leaf.



Yes, the pictures these few days were taken from a green jungle in Singapore. Located at MacRitchie Reservoir Park, a few friends, we went for the Tree Top Walk.

Into the Forest - Silence is Gold says the sign...

Today we shall take a walk into the forest. (yes, small island Singapore has forest!)
