Shell V-Power for the price of Shell Formula 98 this weekend.

Last Friday, I posted a price of petrol prices in Singapore. This week, the price seems to have gone up again!

A friend was telling Momo and myself that some people have observed that whenever Ferrari wins a major race, the next weekend, Shell Singapore will have a promotion where their V-Power that powers Ferrari will be sold at the cheaper Formula 98 price.
(We googled around and found that to be true)

Few days ago, Momo checked that Ferrari won last weekend's France Grand Prix. So today (Friday), tomorrow (Saturday) and day after (Sunday) from 19:00 and 23:00pm, Shell should have the special, if they are still continuing the habit ;-)

Anyone can confirm this? (I don't own a car in Singapore, so I don't drive to the Petrol kiosk. I took this picture today, but it was earlier in the day and did not ask the petrol kiosk person as I was rushing somewhere.)

Up and up it goes...

It seems to be the headlines of the news almost everyday.

3/4 Tank Sign

The words look blurish because I tried to take it behind a drop of water on the windscreen! haha..

I guess you can only see this sign in Singapore.

Cars leaving Singapore and driving into Malaysia have to make sure they have at least fuel tank 3/4 full. Failure to do so will result in a fine! The sign tells the drivers to detour back to Singapore if you have less than the required 3/4 tank of fuel.

Huh? What's the reason for this? It is to curb people from buying cheaper petrol over at the Malaysia. Cheapest petrol cost SGD1.973/litre in Singapore and MYR1.92/litre in Malaysia, 1 SGD = 2.3 MYR. You know why.... :-)

Do your city have such rules? haha...
