The Shopping Gallery - Hilton Singapore

I saw this and took a photo of it just because I see my name on it!
(yes, I am conceited and vain)

It's my brand, but I can't really afford the clothing and accessories from that brand!

Musical Instruments Lights

A few more days to Christmas and you can see tourist and locals shopping in Singapore.

The lady on the most left looks intrigued by the horn.
The two young girls love the horn too.

The two ladies on the right, are glad to be happy after shopping.
The lady on the right must be texting her latest buy to someone or maybe updating her facebook status.

Musical Instruments Lights

The baby sure looks happy sleeping while their parents and grandparents are happily taking photographs.

Have you done your shopping yet?

futurecart

Some "Cold Storage" branded supermarkets have this new high tech shopping carts in their stores. I have yet to hold one of it (I just took a photo of this poster), but it reminded me of an assignment for one of the modules of my Masters course I took around 6 years ago.

My group mates and I came out with a business proposal and our topic was about these shopping carts! Our Professor did not really think it was a feasible idea and thought no one will implement it. But look, someone did! ( I think I still have the assignment and his remarks!)

Not sure what the function of this cart has, but our proposal had sensors on both carts and around the store that can keep track of user behaviour and show relevant promotion as they go through the aisles. There were many other things too, but I can't remember the details.

If you want to see how the cart looks like, look at ZS's blog post here. You can click on the photo of his daughter on the cart to expand it. ;-)

XL or XXXXXXXXL size for you?

Sis and I were doing our groceries shopping at Bukit Timah Plaza. On our way out, we saw the signboard that has so many XXX on it.

How many X in XL do you need?

It's a shop that sells really really huge size clothing!

How many X in XL do you need?

Sis said I should post this up as a service to those who needs to find such shop. ;-)
We were wondering, how come there's no GSS specials?

Real Man, Fake Ladies

Two mornings ago, I was at a shopping mall with sis and Momo. Then sis said, quick snap the photo.

Can you see why? There are 3 mannequins and 2 other real persons. On the lower floor, the 3 ladies are fake. They are forever posing like that. The man is real. He quickly looked away when he saw me take out my camera. However, the lady on top is real. This is taken at Raffles City Shopping Centre.

Have a good week ahead!

Duty Free Shopping at the airport.

Things will be supposedly at least 7% cheaper here than outside. (7% is the GST rate now)

Do you all pay for GST in your city/country? How much is the rate?

Aha! Caught what you did last nite till midnite!

This year's first late night shopping started yesterday. Every last Friday of the month, 250 Orchard Road area retailers will close shop at midnight instead of 9pm.

Wanted to go last nite, but it was raining, and ended up eating dinner and tea at Holland Village instead.

More details, call the number on the picture. :-)

Got this from today's papers: Participating stores include Tangs, Wisma Atria, Borders, Andana Spa, EpicCentre@Orchard, Far East Plaza, Centrepoint, Paragon and Pacific Plaza. Food outlets in the malls will also close at midnight.

To get home:
- Last train will leave Orchard station at 12:40am.
- The last bus service for 6 trunk services will be extended to 12.40am.
- 25 feeder services will be picking up commuters taking the last train home.
- Last North-East Line train will leave Dhoby Ghaut station at 12.55am.

Christmas Preparations

Lazy Saturday.... I have been watching Cable TV the whole day!

Time to put up a post. Most malls already have their decoration up. This one is still fixing it up. Photo taken 2 or 3 nights ago.

Looks like it has been snowing. The wooden shed has snow all over it.

Tourist Series - Are you a privilege tourist yet?

After the airport series, let me try the Tourist Series. Since most viewers will hopefully one day visit Singapore, this would be useful. By the way, I don't work for the Tourist Board. :-p

Orchard Road is famous as the tourist belt of shopping in Singapore. One of the shopping malls right in the middle is Centrepoint. This is a poster inside Centrepoint.

Are you a privilege tourist yet?

What privileges do you like to have as a tourist?
