Yes I have... small few seater propeller plane that flies over the grand canyon as well as larger ones :) Din think they were very spectacular...

I've been on little propeller planes in eastern Europe. I think I'd say "scary" rather than "great" experience!
I had ride on a propeller plane once. The ride was daunting! Very turbulent ride that I started praying hard for us to land safely! I will think twice about going up another one.
