The MRT Station designed by Sir Norman Foster

I only found out recently that this train station is designed by a world renowned British architect. Of all places, I found out when I was in a bookshop overseas!

I took this a few days ago. From the outside, it looks like a spaceship!

You can read more about this station in wikipedia.

This is a beautiful building as modern as modern ever gets and I like it. I just hope they are able to keep it free of graffiti. But then in your country they crack down on people who deface property. I remember the American from Kettering, Ohio who tossed chewing gum on the sidewalk and was sentenced to 10 lashes as I recall.

I think those kinds of rules would soon put an end to graffiti and dirt in a lot of Cities in America and Europe.

Michael Fay was lashed because he vandalised a car.

NO ONE gets lashed for tossing chewing gum anywhere!

Last year when I was in Singapore, I took my camera out inside the MRT station and a guy ran up to me and told me I cannot take photos inside the subway. :-(

It is gorgeous - love the geometry and the mirror effects.
