You can take sampan rides in air-conditioned comfort in Singapore.
But it's a really short ride! It's inside a 'river' inside the Marina Bay Sands.
I guess it's mostly meant for tourist or locals with kids who pester their parents to take them for a ride.

And possibly the odd photographer?
So many "delights" for the tourist exist in so many countries. I think I'd prefer the real thing than this kind of ride.
