Price of petrol in Australia is the same as Singapore i.e. AUD1.6-A1.7 nowadays. It's a killer.At least you have the MRT. Here the trains are inefficient and slow....
In NYC, gas is about US$4.50/gallon or US$1.15/liter. That translates to about S$1.56/liter, which is still cheaper than in Singapore.But gas used to cost US$1.20/gallon a year ago, which was around S$0.40/liter.
Our fuel is currently $3.89 per gallon. Last year it was about $3.00. About 11 years ago, it was about $.89. My, the prices sure have risen!
