Yesterday, I attended the launched of Rediscover Singapore or in short Rediscover.SG which is also the URL of their website.
4 students from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Song Lip, Lizzy, Jeremy and Derek form the RediscoverSG crew.
These 4 brilliant folks pitched to the National Heritage Board (NHB) Heritage Industry Incentive Programme (Hi2P) and landed themselves a $75,000 funding to produce the 10 webisodes.
What's the web episodes about? Heritage and cultures that might soon be gone from Singapore has been captured on film. The series has been named Unseen/Unsaid.
Every Wednesday till the end of August 2011, an episode will be released.
The first episode is out now, head to http://rediscover.sg to watch the 1st episode.
The RediscoverSG team has also decided to raise funds for charity organisation MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) by producing a series of paper toys related to the series. They are sold at $20 for a set of five toys.
These paper toys looks interesting right?
Do you want to support Singapore's young talent?
Visit their website and view their works. If you feel you want to help them support their nominated charity, buy a pack of paper toys or postcards. I bought a pack of paper toys, do you want to help to?
