Ah ha, the martians are done for!Curly's Photoshop
such calm water. and the green leaves look really pretty!
Very cool! Have a nice weekend :)
let's meditate with this photo !
This is called duckweed. A little is okay and pretty, but the floating plants very quickly grow into a thick mat on the surface of the pond. Not only is that ugly to look at, but sunlight can't reach the deeper water, so underwater plants can't photosynthesize and produce oxygen. That in turn can kill fish and other acquatic life. It's best to skim duckweed from the surface of the pond to keep it under control.
great and interesting photo but after reading Passante's story hmmm.lovely photo.have a great weekend =)
I like this a lot...Nice shot.Bluey - keeping it green and serene.
A really excellent shot, as have been several of your past posts. I'm enjoying discovering your city through your eyes.
Beautiful picture!!!Greetings from Chile
Thanks all for your comments. Especially to Passente. I know its one of those pest plants, but don't know what they are called.Guess what, the picture was not taken in a pond. I walked past a shop and it had a small little built up space the size of half a washing machine. These duckweed (now i know what they are called) were just all over the water.
I love it! That is a superb shot. Would be great for desktop wallpaper. Very nice indeed, well done.
Well done! I live abroad and your photos of local food keep me coming back to your blog.
