It is where old meets new. It's an interesting place to visit in Singapore. It has the oldest temple, and cutting edge firms.
There are also lots of restaurants with cuisine coming from France, Italy, Vietnam, Japan and the local flavours of Singapore.

A lovely photo that makes me want to learn more about Singapore. I also liked your post yesterday about the baby's month-old celebration. It's great to learn about the customs in other cultures!
I like the photo. The entrance seems a bit cluttered but then most of Japan was really cluttered when I was there 53 years ago. They utilized every inch of space. Something like the photo. It reminds me of those days and I guess that is what it caught my eye.
