What a beautiful Mural on the wall along Cecil Street.

This is the Telok Ayer Performing Arts Centre at 182 Cecil Street.
It was previously the Telok Ayer Primary School.

In 1985, the primary school was converted to be a performating arts centre. Also, known as TAPAC, it houses arts groups of different cultural traditions and art disciplines.

Update:
Visit http://kamaldollah.wordpress.com/2007/05/21/singapore-city-mural/ to read about the artists behind this wall.

Ya, pretty. They actually just finished painting it on the last BSF class day.

Yes, this is very attractive and a lot nicer than cement blocks painted industrial gray.

I didn't do much today but...

I did write about how people used to wear long underwear over winter or until we began to stink. You can find the link at the bottom of the post today.

wow, it's really lovely :) I've never had the chance to see the building by day... only see it in passing in the dark..

I like it because it represents an important part of any culture--an arts center. The colours and cultural images are great!
