Maundy Thursday

Today, a day just before Good Friday is also known as Maundy Thursday in the Christian Calendar. It is the day before Easter that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Disciples.

Services in churches today serve the Holy Communion. Christians partake Communion today in remembrance of the first Communion.

This picture is to show the stain glass artwork of the Cross, to go with today's description of Maundy Thursday.

The light from the outside just shines in and the whole room is brightened with the various colours. I was quite in awe when I visited this church when the lights came in. This stain glass work belongs to one church in the west of Singapore in Queestown.

I'm envious that you have a stained glass photo. I have not been successful in taking one yet. Most likely this is my own fault for not being on the inside of church more often. That and I am reluctant to take photos inside a church. I'll bet if I asked a priest he would gladly say yes.

It is a nice photograph. I remember some of the old stained glass windows in our little village church.
