Daily Photo Blogger's Theme Day: Street Signs in your city

It's the 1st of September already! How time flies. As usual, the first day of the month is the Theme Day for City Daily Bloggers.

Here's my contribution for September. These are street signs that indicate that a tourist attraction is nearby. It is usually written in many languages too. There's also a colourful graphic beside it. Now, you know where to eat in Chinatown, Singapore!

These fellow Daily Photo Sites around the whole are also participating in the Theme Day. See how the theme is being interpreted in different cities.
Due to different time-zones, some photos might appear at a later time.

i'm not kepo but i wanna leave a comment ;) heh heh...

nice capture of the five languages for the touristic street signage! honestly i am not sure how many languages we will have in time to come (now japanese language is added to promote tourism)

I see some similarity. in some nice areas near the Lake Balaton here in Budapest, street signs were in German. The fact that a lot of German-speaking tourist populated it time ago created some kind of 'historical query'. It was same as what singapore is doing now to keep up to, just that, Germans had stop frequenting but the signs+many evidences of their visit still remains.

I still hope more japanese will keep going to singapore:) Who knows probaby by the next time,we will see some arabic scripts, Korean characters or some Greek ;)

I've visited China Town. I did a lot of shopping there-beautiful silk bags, toys, mementos but didn't know where to eat.
Next time I'll keep this sign in mind.
Nice photo.

Great photo and good idea for those whose languages might not be mentioned to have a graphic too.

You have three signs; the sign for us tourist, a sign to encourage walking, and the street sign. All outside the 7 eleven.

So many way to eat, so many way to speak and write about...

Even though Montego Bay is a pretty touristy area and we do get visitors from all over the world who speak different languages, all our signs are in English. ;-/

I wonder if we will ever have signs like yours.

Very cool sign for our theme day. I like the multi-lingual efforts many countries make to help visitors around.
